1 more full day until we reach land!!! I haven't seen any other form of human life besides people on our boat for days! Also, I can’t wait to get some normal food!!!
So today was a pretty ordinary day…I went to global studies (kind of boring), went out on the 7th deck to catch up on some reading, ate lunch with my boat family including Victoria the inter-port student, worked out in the gym, went to sociology class (got an 90 on my paper), and went to my HIV/AIDS class. After class, I sat outside on the 7th deck with Candice and Kristin and just talked (like camp, I love not having a TV for people to sit around, it forces you to actually talk to people and get to know them). Since we are only 2 days away from South Africa we had our first pre-port meeting tonight…they basically talked to us about the area our boat would be docking in, what was near there to do and how to get around. I hope to get to go to Table Mountain while I am there and experience some South African bars! I also want to go to the winelands and to Moyo (a restaurant in a tree-house that holds 1,200 people). After our pre-port meeting, I met with the 60 kids that I will be traveling to Kruger Safari with. I found out that after my 2-hour flight to Jo’burg, I have a 6 hour bus ride to get to the Kruger camping site! It’ll definitely be worth it. After that meeting, my sea (which is my team for the Sea Olympics) had a crazy Highlighter Party. If you don’t know what a highlighter party is, everyone wears a white t-shirt and everyone writes in highlighter all over your t-shirt. We had our party in the faculty lounge, with blacklights to make the highlighter glow on everyone’s shirt. I would say that the best song that we all danced to was SHOUT! Trying to dance and jump to that song on a very rocky boat is entertaining to watch, and quite a workout. Oh yea, I got my grade for my first global studies exam back today. Out of 700 something kids, only 3 got an A (A starts at a 90), I got an 84 so I don’t feel soooo bad anymore.
GO BERING SEA!!!!

Morgs,
I miss you so much and am always looking forward to reading your blogs. I even have some of the labor and delivery staff reading them as well. It sounds like you are having the time of your life (and learning a little bit along the way). The highlighter party sounded like so much fun. And the boat rocking with the choppy waters - I could only imagine what it looked like outside of your window. I was laughing so hard imagining the drunk students walking without a problem and everyone else dropping their cafeteria trays. Congratulations on your exam grades. You're doing a terrific job. Things are going well at home. I was on call yesterday into this morning. Khoa was on too. We saw each other for a couple of minutes in the operating room. On Tuesday I am delivering Randi Feit's babies (twins). Do you remember her? You refused to call her Randi because "there can't be more than one Randi. My sister is Randi. You can't be Randi too!!" Oh, you were so cute. Anyways, I'm looking forward to that. I have the day off tomorrow (President's day) so I'm going to relax maybe do a bit of shopping. Let me know if there is anything that you are missing from the US and need. I'm sure I can send it to some port along your journey. I can't wait to here from you again. Hopefully we'll catch each other on AIM. Mmcchhaa, love you, miss you beatcha!!!!
Hey Morgs,
I sent a comment 2day but 4 some reason it has not appeared. So here we go again...worst case you'll get it twice. Sorry I haven't commented in awhile. We r in Deer Valley Utah (close 2 Colorado) skiing with both Kotin families. Yesterday we had fun time on the slopes and celebr8ed Eric's bday at a gr8 Italian restaurant. Today Eric wasn't feeling well sovhe did one run and then I took him back to the hotel. He'll probably take it easy 2morrow. Neal K. made a "housecall" - he may have bronchitis. Anyway we fly back on Tues. Ur trip sounds like a blast-sleeping in hammocks along the Amazon must have been a trip!! Glad ur keeping up ur Ping Pong skills and getting an even tan (hope ur using sunscreen). Zach was at a working farm with his class last week. He had fun milking cows, collecting eggs in the chicken coop and sledding. Steve has heard from schools ... He'll update u in his comment! Bob has been practicing his rubix cube skills... Kidding!!!!
keep blogging!
love u and miss u

Hi Morgs
After we spoke yesterday I thought of a million things to tell ya. Here is one that I thought you might want to hear. Spencer has re-learned to put one foot in front of the other while standing and is taking a baby step at a time. He is scaling the back of a small couch in about 15 minutes holding one hand on the couch and then holding someones hand. And it is with very little pressure on the hand! This weekend, Uncle Mikee taught Spencer to respond to "Where does the yalmulke go?" It is very funny to watch. The highlighter party sounds like so much fun! I am glad to see that you are honing your ping-pong skills. I bet the Feldman's are doing the same waiting to take you on. Can't wait to hear about Africa. Stay safe and travel in groups. Hugs, Kisses and Always Love. Aunt Riv
